Creating a Cohesive, Collaborative, Patient-First Practice
Prism Eye Institute is a team of ophthalmologists, optometrists, and opticians committed to engaging doctors and staff and redefining the patient experience to deliver world-class eye care. For the last fifty years, we’ve proudly served Brampton and Mississauga-Oakville, and we hope to continue serving our communities for the next fifty years.
Defining Eye Care
A triangular prism, by definition, is a transparent, flat-sided object with refracting surfaces that separate light into the full spectrum of colours.
Is this what you picture when you think of a prism? When we think about prisms, we think not only about how they’re used in the eye care industry but also about how they perfectly define our practice and represent what we do.
Transparency
A prism’s transparency represents our open communication with both patients and referring doctors.
Sturdiness
A prism’s sturdy sides represent the knowledge and skills our team of ophthalmologists, optometrists, and eye care professionals need to provide exceptional service to our patients.
Spectrum of Visible Light
The seven colours of visible light represent the joining of ophthalmology, optometry, and opticians and symbolize our four pillars of service.
Our Four Fundamental Pillars
Our practice is built on a foundation of four pillars:
Advanced Eye Care
Our direction is always forward—in technology, techniques, & industry standards.
Navigation
We walk our patients through the process every step of the way, leaving no one behind.
Network
We work closely with our patients’ healthcare teams and build a network of trusted professionals.
Education
We are committed to open, honest communication with our patients and referring doctors.
Our Vision
Driving the future of eye care.
Our Mission
Leading our field and delivering exceptional eye care.
Our Values
We lead by example through care, leadership, integrity, and collaboration.
Caring
We treat people with kindness, respect, and empathy.
Leadership
We treat challenges as opportunities and elevate our field.
